The grapes from this vineyard are some of the oldest, if not the oldest, plantings of the variety in Canada. Our Sémillon is highly aromatic with a lively start that leads to a lush mid-palate and a lingering creamy finish.
Gently pressing with some skin contact to extract full flavours, our 2015 Sémillon displays beautiful layered notes of lemon curd, Bartlett pear, fresh figs, orchard blossoms and honey. The wine was then left sur lie for 3 months to achieve a pleasing creaminess and weight on the palate.
We encourage you to cellar a couple of bottles (up to a maximum of 7 years from release) in order to experience the alluring rich bouquet that a well-made and cellared Sémillon offers. The viscosity enhances its elegance along with developed toasty, silky notes evocative of orange blossom honey, dried fig and sweet hay.
This year, our 2016 Semillon obtained Gold Medal at Wine Align National Awards of Canada, Silver medal at Dan Berger International Competition in California 2017, and also Honours at Intervin Competition.
