Welcome to the LA FRENZ summer newsletter announcing the official June releases. We are pleased to offer the 2010 Rosé, 2009 Montage and 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon as well as the much anticipated 2009 Reserve Chardonnay, 2009 Reserve Pinot Noir and the 2008 Grand Total Reserve. These reserve wines have recently won a bucket of GOLD medals already! These wines are simply stunning and they should be in the cellar of any serious collector of fine wines. The big news following our 2008 Reserve Pinot Noir being named the #1 Pinot Noir in the Pacific Northwest is our barnstorming success at the two most comprehensive, blind wine judging competitions available to us.
LA FRENZ was awarded the most GOLD medals of any winery at the 2011 All Canadian Wine Championships including two DOUBLE GOLDS (Best of Category). This is a great result in competition with new players as small as Painted Rock and established wineries such as Burrowing Owl to wineries as large as Mission Hill.
Only a week later we were awarded the most GOLD medals of any Canadian winery at the 2011 NorthWest Wine Summit in Portland, Oregon. We were ranked second, together with Château St. Michelle for receiving the most GOLD medals in the entire Pacific Northwest.
A great result against some serious, world-recognized producers and significant confirmation of our motto:
“Just Great Wines…Uniquely Okanagan…Proudly Canadian”
These accomplishments are well-deserved recognition for the whole team at LA FRENZ for their attention to detail in everything from pruning in the vineyard to final bottling in the winery.
