VINEYARDS
Our aim is to produce wines of exemplary style, with layering and complexity that consistently over deliver in the glass.

Good vineyards produce good fruit, and good fruit leads to great wine. We therefore focus a lot of attention on our vineyard sites, using a sustainable and holistic approach to grape growing. These practices include moderate cropping levels, and canopy management to ensure desired “leaf to fruit” ratio and fruit exposure. Deficit irrigation ensures that we consistently produce the best fruit possible from each site.

The Estate and Blenheim Hill vineyards.
Both are located on the Naramata Bench. The westerly aspect ensures long day lengths and moderate temperatures, which allow the development of ripe concentrated fruit with a focus on primary fruit characteristics. The gravelly soil contributes to a strong terroir, or sense of place, in the resulting wine.

The Sonoran Desert Vineyard
Located on the Black Sage Bench, this vineyard represents some of the oldest plantings of chardonnay, merlot, and cabernet sauvignon grapes in the Okanagan. The age and natural balance of the vines consistently result in very ripe, powerful wines with great depth of flavour.

The Rockyfella Vineyard
Our newest vineyard, planted in 2006, is located on the Golden Mile south of Oliver. We chose this site because of its huge accumulation of heat units and resulting ability to grow the later-ripening grape varieties such as petite verdot, cabernet franc, and malbec. The rocky soils have the potential for great terroir in the resulting wines.
