A classic Vintage Port develops in bottle. Our Vintage Port is very enjoyable upon release as a young wine, but if aged in bottle it will develop complex dark fruitcake, plum pudding characteristics with a noticeable licorice aroma. As is traditional with Australian vintage port we used dark, ripe estate grown Shiraz grapes which offer the mouth-watering aromatics of sweet blueberries with hints of white pepper.
Our own custom-distilled brandy dosage adds fortification and complexity to the wine. The wine is sweet, but finishes dry on the palate.
Under ideal cellaring conditions and a reservoir of patience, we believe this wine can continue to develop for up to twenty years for an unforgettable experience!
